The PSCM offers you crystal clear sound of radio channels at your head end or radio station. Now every head end can be completed with high quality radio channels.

The product is frequency agile and can be adjusted at the field of radio application. All parameters can be controlled by buttons of the front panel as well as by remote control. The tuning range is extended to 85 to 115 MHz. Two balanced audio inputs offer hum and noise-free crystal clear sound.

A built in AF generator producing six fixed frequency’s with high amplitude stability and low distortion. The internal generator is used for the modulation modes: L, R, L=R (mono signal) and L= -R (difference signal)

The coding methods so far employed have a common drawback in that a lot of filtering is required to suppress the unwanted frequencies. The PSCM use a digital controlled graded switching in 16 steps. Very high and stable channel separation; extremely low harmonic distortion, excellent S/N and flat frequency response are the results of this technique.

The AF inputs are fitted with differential amplifiers to reliably suppress common-mode voltages caused by hum pickup for example. Following low pass filters remove all frequencies above 18 kHz so that a perfect multiplex signal generated independently of the input voltages.

The unit is accommodated in a one-unit 19” rack with built switch mode power supply for low operation temperature and ensuring long MTBF.

Modular construction   

The PSCM is built into a rugged but appealing 19" industrial housing. The unit is constructed as a modular system. This technique allows easy access for maintenance or field upgrades. All printed circuit boards are high quality dual layer or Multilayer boards. The module connectors are gold plated to ensure a long lasting error free operation.

Watchdog circuit

The Microprocessor has an independent monitoring circuit that guards normal operation of the system. The Watchdog circuit makes the PSCM ideally suited for unattended use, commonly found in cable distribution systems.
