The DCP is a TV channel Processor which has been built to process your antenna RF signal into a perfect signal ready to go into your cable network. The digital video signal processor can effectively cleanup noisy video signals. The digital noise filter is fully programmable and can be set in auto-mode or forced into a fixed noise reduction mode. This feature makes the DCP the best possible choice for weak signals as well as for strong signals. The digital filter coefficients are user programmable and allow for a noise reduction up to 11.7 dB. It is user friendly through a menu driven control system. The operator interacts with the processor (4 function keys in comprehensive text dialogue). Numerical input is entered with a numerical keyboard. All values are displayed on an alphanumerical 16 x 2 line LCD matrix display. PLL controlled input and output converter can be specified for any channel within the range of 47 to 870 MHz. Multi-norm processor with transmission standard translationThe DCP can process PAL, SECAM and NTSC signals. The PAL and NTSC signal will be send transparent to the output as a PAL or NTSC signal. A SECAM signal is translated into a PAL signal without loss of quality all the signals are time base corrected The SECAM to PAL conversion makes this Processor interesting for cable networks. The participants can then receive SECAM signals on a normal (single norm) PAL TV set. The transmission standard can be set fixed or switched automatically. The selected input and output mode is displayed by LED's. The DCP is built into a rugged but appealing 19" industrial housing. The unit is constructed as a modular system. This technique allows easy access for maintenance or field upgrades. All printed circuit boards are high quality dual layer or Multilayer boards. The module connectors are gold plated to ensure a long lasting error free operation! The Microprocessor has an independent monitoring circuit that guards normal operation of the system. The Watchdog circuit makes the DCP ideally suited for unattended use, commonly found in cable distribution systems. |
