The TGN Loudness Processor AUDIO CONTROL is an essential level controller for all broadcasters, cable TV head ends and radio stations. High quality programme related control techniques are used to enable the AC-3 to fulfil various configurations. It guarantees you, for example, the same level of many audio signals in a cable TV head end in all situations where peak level control is required.

The AC-3 is a multiple stage design using split band control techniques. The output signal is precisely controlled to a factory set level. This processor reflects our experience of many years designing broadcast tools. The AC-3 handles already processed signals equally well, leaving the sound exactly as you intend it to be. Additionally it can be used to further enhance the signal.

Programme dependent attack and release time constants are automatically selected to give an exceptionally clean sound. The operations status is displayed by LEDs

Modular construction    

The AC-3 is built into a rugged but appealing 19" industrial housing. The unit is constructed as a modular system. This technique allows easy access for maintenance or field upgrades. All printed circuit boards are high quality dual layer or Multilayer boards. The module connectors are gold plated to ensure a long lasting error free operation.
